Read it

Right, so as I am the author of this little blog I really don't go back and read it. Shame on me as comments have been left and those folks have gone unacknowledged. So with all of that in mind I corrected the old email address to my current one (grebo13@gmail.com)

Not only have I been lax in writing here, but I've let contact with good friends slip away. If nothing else they diserve a "Hey, how's it going" every now and then. It just seems weird to do that when we don't see one another on a daily basis like we did when we were all the same crew. So to answer Bitsie's comment, CHEERS! You escaped our mental hell. A bond was formed amoungst the old crew, we were faced with odds that no one should be expected to deal with. Hope you and the Missus are doing well, drop us a line or two, be good to hear from ya again.

Tryvad - As always a class act my friend, really in light of many things were it not for you, Gemful and Ripclaw I'd have most likely given in and believed that one can not have real friends from an on line game.

Lindar - Still one of the most thick headed intelligent people I've ever associated with. Things in life are not always what they seem, and we can get wrapped up into our own thoughts and ideas and lose sight of a friend. You have alot of passion for what you believe in, and as you can clearly see; sometimes to the annoyance of others. Never stop being you, friends disagree, friends fight and friends always have the compasity to forgive each other no matter how wrong one may think the other is. In this case my friend Lindar, it's a game...No harm no foul.

Lokovon - Didn't leave a comment, but I got a bit curious and decided to pop over to his blog to see how life is treating him. Lokovon reminds me of meself when I was his age. He and I have chewed the same dirt and marveled at the same things. I have the luxury of hind sight, I know where he may be going as I had already traveled that road. He is still looking ahead and not too sure which way to turn. Go with the flow my friend, sure it leads to a late start in life, but having the car, the house and all the rest comes with it's own problems, keep enjoying life, asking questions and keeping a cynical eye on everything. One day it will leave you, and you will miss it.

Ex-teenage Rebel by Subhumans

When I asked you to lend me a fiver
You said you were already broke
And when I explained you were living in chains
You assumed it was some sort of joke
You wanted a job and then got one
And learned jokes about sex, Jews and blacks
Got married to help pay the mortgage
Got wound up when you had to pay tax

What happened to you with your ideas?
What happened to all your hopes and fears?
Ex-teenage rebel - same old story

When I asked you what you thought of the arms race
Asking you who's gonna win
You remembered a man on the telly and said
I agree with him
You say everythings alright really
You say that I'm just paranoid
You tell me it's always the same
And there's some things I cannot avoid

So what happened to your old opinions?
The thoughts that you had for so long?
That inspired a thousand rebellions
Against what was still so wrong
You tell me you used to be crazy
And paranoid like I am now
You soon realized there was no reason why
So you gave up and soon settled down

And I tell you that you are the problem
Which is why you can't see it no more
The strength of us all could demolish the wall
But you chose to walk through the door
Living a life of compromise
What you are supporting is what you dispised
Was all that you said just a useful disguise?
Or was it just little white lies?
Little white lies
To help you survive
Is there no guilt in your mind?
Is there no guilt in your eye?
