Paranoid safety measures, politically correct speech and being concious of other peoples feelings. What the hell tramatized my generation so much that we now tip toe around one another? Watch your language, tell the lies and what ever you do don't be different.
This all in my opinion is crap! So to prove my point(s) let's have a look at the common offenses.
The middle finger, European two up or just the phrase 'Fuck You'. Universally this is ment as an insult to the recieving party and in just about every case taken as such, but let's break it down shall we? Fuck: Fornicate, make love or sexual action. No matter your flavor of this act, it is what we as humans seem to be chasing after the majority of our time on this stupid round planet. Then there is You, pretty damn self explainitory; it is directed at you. So really what we are saying to one another is your actions have made the offender want to have sex with you the offendee. The offense truely lies with the offender when you invoke a negitive reaction to there offer of sexual leasion.
This leads me to the funniest thing anyone has ever said to me (quoting 'Soccer Mom an exgirlfriend of mine, we'll explore that mind fuck later) "I hate you, Fuck You!" WOW! Is that ever a mixed message, so using our example above what Soccer Mom was really saying to me is 'I hate you so much, that I want to have sex with you'. Some may find that insane, but trust me; anyone who knew the both of us during our 4 year 'love' (gads tough to really call it that) affair, would find it oh so totally fitting.
So now that we have the big one out of the way, there are the many variations that go with it. George Carlin really hit everything on the head with his '7 dirty words' routine, which later expanded to about 200 words. But that in itself is the crux of it all isn't it? They are words, according to all of the 'experts' we use too many words that hurt or offend other people. So now we are supposed to 'watch what we say' phrase things in a way that will not offend. Get over it! You are really only taking offence because your mind is telling you that someone doesn't like you, that you may not be accepted by the masses, you might be different from everyone else because you believe that one of the accepted people doesn't like you. It's only a word. Think about it for a bit, how many times have you been flipped the bird, told to go Fuck Yourself (everyone does it, masterbation is normal; you've just been given permission to go and pleasure yourself... I'd say WOO-HOO!) or called a 'mean name' in your life. Yeah I don't have that kind of time either, so using Penn and Teller Math let's say a whole 'Ass Load' of times. Yes at first you were shocked, angered even saddened that someone would use such hateful, mean and nasty language in your general direction, some occasions may have been so vile and offending to your nature that they do stick with you for a very long time. But on a whole, let's be honest you probably blow off 95% of it anyway.
For all the differnet types of language(s) all the differnet types of media to express one's self in this life time, we as 'the dominate animal' on this stupid round planet have a real hard time talking to one another. No one wants to 'blow their cool' in front of others, again going back to now you are different. Yeah yeah, your saying to yourself 'What makes you so different?', in short I'm NOT, I use the words accepted by society to cause offense to another, mainly when I don't agree with them, think they are stupid for doing something stupid or I'm just in a bad mood and the use of those words make me feel better. My point here is simple, don't let a social standard or other unseen people dictate to you what is right or what is wrong, you know this; you've already made up your own rules. No matter what rule is put down by other people, you will go about figuring out how you can twist that rule to fit your own rules. In short most of the time you simply say to yourself "Fuck 'Em"... It's good to see that we as humans really really want to spread our love to each other.
Side Bar - Music is really really important to me in this life, so as I go along with my rantings and ravings I'd like to leave each post with a powerful line or two from songs that I find a message from.
